3 CASES OF FIBROUS DISPLASIA




Abstract
Fibous dysplasia is an involvement of one or several bones of skeletal system characterized by fibrosis of marrow space. It is rarely seen in the field of otolaryngology. Three cases of fibrous dysplasia are reported as following.
Case 1; A patient of 31 years old male with chief complaints of swelling on left cheek for 1 month had ployostotic fibrous dysplasia which involved left maxillary bone, left humerus and both Fibulae.
Case 2; A patient of 13 years old female with monostotic fibrous dysplasia which involve right maxillary bone for 1 year had the chief complaints of swelling on right cheek without precocious puberty and cutaneous pigmentation.
Case 3; A patient of 15 years old male had monostatic fibrous dysplasia of multiple lesion involving left frontal bone which was accompanied with unilatera left exophthalmos and ophthalmic pain for layer.
Of all cases, the extirpation of tumor mass was carried out and the postoperative course was uneventful. Histopathological examination revealed a typical feature of fibrous dysplasia in all three cases.
